A less rugged version of the [[Phoenix Hovercar (Apocalypse)|Phoenix Hovercar]], designed for police work.
Police Hovercars are on standby across Mega-Primus, and will scramble to attack craft of Megapol's enemies (including X-COM, if provoked). They can provide some support against UFOs, but their weaponry is not very effective against the more heavily armoured UFO types. At least they may draw some fire away from X-COM craft.
If using a utility to allow X-Com to purchase Police Hovercars, users will find they are lighter and cheaper but less heavily armed and armoured than the Phoenix, and will generally lose a one-on-one fight against them. They are better deployed in numbers and counted as expendable; use a utility such as Apoc'd to give them the Phoenix Hovercar equipment template so you can re-arm and re-equip them without crashing the game. Police Hovercars are excellent for those who wish to roleplay.
1 Armor is given as Top/Front/Left/Right/Rear/Bottom. The in-game Ufopedia rather misleadingly displays only a single armor value, the sum of the values on all six of the vehicle's facings.
2 This vehicle cannot be normally purchased by X-COM.
