The Stormdog is the basic road vehicle, essentially a military variant of the Civilian Car. While it can equip anti-aircraft weapons, its susceptibility to damage (especially if the road beneath it is destroyed) limits its usefulness.
Stormdogs can be exploited in a "chop shop" fashion to make a good amount of money early in the game. Ammo is free when purchasing a vehicle, and the Stormdog cannon has 4800 credits of it. Buy the first 6 Stormdogs, strip them, and sell the components to net a cool ~$29K in free money. Do the same with the starting Stormdog, and you'll be $43K richer in minutes.
