:As noted, all explosives deal damage out to 7 tiles from ground zero, and some to 8. The visible explosion from an autocannon HE shot is radius 2. Explosions
When equipped with Personal Disruptor Shields, you can see the shield animation even if you are several tiles away from the explosion. Is that just phantom damage to represent a sort of shockwave or does the explosion still deal damage outside its usual radius, just so small that it could barely damage or kill a unit? - As noted, all explosives deal damage out to 7 tiles from ground zero, and some to 8. The visible explosion from an autocannon HE shot is radius 2. As I said, the safe distance is much further than the visible fireball. Magic9mushroom (talk) 16:15, 18 June 2020 (UTC)
