Should a distinction between bonus and constructed command pods be made? As constructed pods pull from the base alien # pool this distinction could be relevant for a player: After seeing every non-Command alien on the map the size of the command pod can be determined and isn't random as a range (e.g. 3-6 Outsiders) may suggest.
Bonus pods are constructed when added to the mission pod array and do not interact with other pods. Most Command pods, particularly before a Base Assault is completed, are Bonus pods.
Constructed Command pods add a command pod to the pod array and separately add aliens to the base alien pool. Abductors, Harvesters, Transports, Terror Ships, Assault Carriers, and Battleships all have constructed pods after a Base Assault is completed. Bibet (talk) 21:12, 17 March 2025 (UTC)
