An accurate but weak weapon with a high rate of fire. The projectiles are slow compared to laser or plasma but due to being weak, will not destroy buildings from misses. Ammuntion use makes this weapon substandard to any laser and very weak compared to plasma weapons. Only effective against early UFOs
