Intro

Hey all,

boundbreak here - long time XCOM fan, played everything from UFO:EU (it's six years older than me) to XCOM 2, except Apocalypse. I started with TFTD with my dad, and explored the franchise more around. Recently joined the whole tell-Fandom-to-walk-into-alien-overwatch movement, with its awful ads and its even worse AI "summaries". So I've decided to come on here and contribute towards bringing this wiki up to speed for all the more modern entries of the franchise. Hopefully in the future we can throw in a new wiki skin and maybe add a dark mode (please), and I can start telling Chrome extensions to start directing traffic to this page instead of the Fandom one (with pride that I stuck my hand in it).

I'm grateful for all the members before me - not sure I'd have ever finished TFTD without this wiki (research bug goes whooosh), and I plan to keep this place clean and tidy for whenever Julian Gollop cooks up something good in the future.

Background

I help out in bits around other wikis too - the Hollow Knight wiki and Baldur's Gate 3 wiki are my major places to fix and improve stuff, but I'll be making this my priority project for a little bit I think. I am a software engineer, and can perfectly understand technical code and algorithms, but do not do any data mining (for some reason people think these are connected?).

start fleshing out more detailed pages on the XCOM 2 home page
look into XCOM:EU stuff, see anything needs filling in there
