The Sidewinder is a more mobile variant of the Viper, which will more often than not attempt to flank your soldiers. Even more fragile and slippery than standard Vipers, they are equipped with a close range plasma weapon that can deal incredible amounts of damage to exposed targets.
- Sidewinders have a slight (+5) accuracy bonus to flanking shots at all ranks.
- Sidewinder AI makes them much more likely to flank and shoot targets compared to standard Vipers.
- Poison spit is a single action and not turn ending, leaving sidewinders like to spit and shoot if they unable to exploit a flank.
- The Sidewinder's plasma weapon has SMG-class range fall-off, resulting in Sidewinders getting close instead of staying back and sniping.
