At least for the starting batch of soldiers, the veterans were my snipers in spots 1 and 2, and my assaults in spots 5 and 6. See if it's always 1,2,5,6 from the regular Mission lineup, or any other pattern. Strictly from previous mission? Barracks lineup (those 4 are first in my Barracks lineup)?
