I haven't done really thurough testing, but it does seem like there's a difference in panic to the dogfight result (besdes shooting it down): Ignore, nugget of panic. Fight and get damaged, about 2 pixels. Fight and receive no damage (ie; abort right way), 1 pixel. How much damage you do to the UFO doesn't seem to be a factor, or it's too small to tell.--Xuncu (talk) 04:48, 20 June 2014 (EDT)
