Backstory

Oh and while I'm at it, unless there's a written confession somewhere to the contrary, my bet is that for the Backstory the Brothers G. were mainly inspired by the UK TV Series UFO - admittedly with substantial bits of Roswell/abduction/cattle mutilators/National Enquirer in the mix.
