These towers can be remote hacked to obtain different combat bonuses such as concealment, immunity to enemy attacks, and a variety of other skills, and on occasion various resources. If you successfully hack a tower you will obtain the bonus and disable the sight radius, if you fail your whole squad will be revealed.
