Submersible Weapons Systems are an essential part of a TFTD squad.
At the very beginning of the Second Alien War, the only Submersible Weapons Systems available to X-COM were standard Earth technologies. However, during the war, as our R&D chaps unveiled new Alien technology our SWSs became much more useful.
