Does anyone know if capturing the Alien Probe or Scout will ever yield the Disruptor Cannons on other shipboard cannons? I get the feeling that if you want to capture extra cannons, you would have to capture Type 3 ships and above to get them.

You are correct. Type 1 and Type 2 yield nothing of value, even when the UFOs start to carry recoverable items. -NKF 17:31, 30 August 2008 (PDT)
