When I was watching a Interceptor chase after a UFO I noticed it seemed to adjust its path every 5 minutes. If this is the case (didnt spend any time testing it to be sure), maybe the UFOs correct/alter their path on a similar schedule (if they don't reach their waypoint during that time). --Sfnhltb 13:08, 19 March 2007 (PDT)
- I have not observed anything not explainable by the already-documented algorithm (great-circle until target latitude, then follow latitude).
- Note that great circles take some practice with before they become intuitive. They're not Euclidean plane straight lines, so they do "adjust" compared to a simple straight line.
