This is one of the first two SWSs available to new X-COM Commanders.
This SWS launches explosive torpedoes toward the enemy that explode on contact with a solid object - be it an enemy unit or a wall. These torpedoes are not as powerful as the large torpedoes used by the Torpedo Launcher but still pack a considerable punch.
The Coelacanth/Aqua Jet can remain useful to the very end of the game even if its destructive power is surpassed by the Displacer/PWT. Aqua Jet Missles are readily available and cost little compared to the P.W. Torpedoes required by the Displacer/PWT.
