The Sonic-Blasta Rifle is the second weapon in the Sonic Weapon line. It is a high powered rifle that delivers a powerful sonic wave that can deal significant damage to most targets.

The Sonic-Blasta Rifle is neither the fastest, most accurate or most powerful of the sonic weapons. Instead, it excels simply by being average. This makes it fairly versatile.

To gauge its performance, the Sonic Pistol will be used as the baseline to present the Sonic-Blasta Rifle's qualities. The Sonic-Blasta Rifle loses the advantage of a one-handed grip and its ammunition clips retain 5 less rounds. Firing modes are 10% slower than the pistol but snap accuracy has improved by 10% while aimed accuracy enjoys a remarkable 25% improvement over the Sonic-Pistol. Average damage has increased by 15 points, allowing for an additional 0 to 30 points of damage per shot. As with the other sonic weapons, it does not have an automatic fire mode.

The Sonic-Blasta rifle also suffers from limited availability once the Sonic Cannon gains prominence. Continued use will require spending some Zrbite to manufacture the ammunition.

Overall, the Sonic-Blasta Rifle is a well balanced alien rifle that can be used as a primary squad weapon.
