Alien Artefacts are all forms of equipment, weapons and ammunition used by the aliens. X-COM will only score points for recovered Artefacts that have not yet been researched (Elerium-115 will still make points for "UFO Recovery" though). The following items are recoverable from UFOs, Alien Bases, Terror Missions and X-COM Base Defense Missions (although Elerium-115 cannot be recovered from the latter two):
- Plasma Pistol
- Plasma Rifle
- Heavy Plasma
- Small Launcher
- Blaster Launcher
- Mind Probe
- Alien Grenade
- Elerium-115
