This one is pretty easy,
In order to gain permanent [[mind control]] over a [[Chryssalid]] or [[Tentaculat]], [[mind control]] a [[zombie]] and shoot it.
The tentaculat/chrysallid that will appear is hostile, but don't kill it. Next turns it will be controlled by you for the rest of the mission.


in ufo find a zombie(a civilian or one of your men)

in tftd find a weak aquanaut you dont need and make him become a zombie with a tentaculat.
then mc the zombie and shoot it.
the tentaculat/chrysallid is hostile however dont kill it... next turns its yours... and will be yours for the rest of the mission.
 
my suggestion for tftd is to give it a heavy thermal lance... then it can be useful even against lobstermen.
