Eyeballing Weapon Effectiveness, you're talking two to three Sonic Pulsers per Bio-Drone, which gets expensive fast in money and item limit, and the DPT is only roughly even with far-cheaper Sonic if you're not using the carried-grenades exploit (and obviously these won't work against an airborne Bio-Drone; the Gas Cannon with HE rounds will, as well as being cheaper and saving items, but the DPT of that is way inferior to Sonic).
