New page

Hi, anyone ending up here who wants to build either this or Meridian's OXCE on Linux;

judging from his OXCE compile guide, (and my failure to compile otherwise), you want to have the development versions of each library installed, the cmake method in particular (now the main supported OXCE build method) only plays nice with the -devel versions.

If you're on Fedora, like I am, you're in luck, because all the dependencies are the core repo/RPM (I didn't check to reference). The package names are:
[dnf install]
SDL-devel
SDL_mixer-devel
SDL_image-devel
SDL_gfx-devel
yaml-cpp-devel

Super simple and consistent, and according to Meridian on Ubuntu it's
[apt install]
libsdl1.2-dev
libsdl-image1.2-dev
libsdl-mixer1.2-dev
libsdl-gfx1.2-dev

though you need to compile yaml-cpp for yourself since it's not in the Repos. Meridian has OXCE Binaries for Ubuntu and Debian, if you're on either of those go there before compiling.
