The Shadow Chamber functions similarly to vanilla. It's an advanced research facility, used to analyze special storyline research projects. While a Shadow Chamber project is running, normal research is paused. Like vanilla, the Shadow Chamber must be upgraded once you recover the Psi-Gate to continue research.

Also like vanilla, the Shadow Chamber will tell you the number and composition of of enemies in some missions. This works for all missions but functions differently for missions that require infiltration. Depending on the infiltration level, the enemy activity may shift and thus the given enemy information may also shift accordingly.
