The program uses this file's memory block for other graphic files in the game, such as the SPK files for all UFOPAEDIA images.
This is the source of the crash that occurs when exiting from the Windows version after viewing one of the aircraft entries in the in-game ufopaedia.  The SPK files for all the aircraft are 6 bytes larger than this file, causing the game to overwrite another section of memory.
