Looks like fun, BB. I might hit it sometime. Ye gods there's a cutie posting to that thread. 

I do most of my fiction reading in the "reading room" or while eating out. So I'd still be interested in actual book recommendations.

XCOM: The Unknown Menace by Hobbes on http://www.fanfiction.net/
The plot is very engaging as long as you don't mind the spelling and grammar mistakes that crop up.

The other ones that I read so long ago that I actually can't remember who they are by or what they were called :(

I haven't read the two paperback novels that are out there either, although I think I would be interested to read them if I had the chance.
