View source for Motion scanner blip sizes

The bigger an object, the bigger the blip it gives off. Also, the more it's moved, the bigger the blip. Be careful not to mistake blips for civilians on Terror missions, but the biggest blips are almost certainly terror units - or your own tanks.

All movement (allied and otherwise) is registered - but - unmoving units will NOT generate a blip. At all.
