With the help of a few UFO bits, a warehouse of Nutrivend synth'o'cola™ and lots of duct tape, X-Com researchers have been able to reverse engineer the UFO engines (which appear to be of alien origins even to the aliens) and the transdimensional gate navigational systems and integrated them into our own home grown vehicles.

Because energy is drawn from the alien world on the other side of the Dimension Gates, hybrid ships never run out of fuel and can stay on sentinal duty for days on end - unless the gates are closed abruptly, in which case the ships would plummet to their doom.

; Dimension Probe : An unmanned prototype ship that can arm light weapons. Although originally meant to be a one-shot throw away ship, it never needs to be built. It can also double as a slightly expensive interdimensional hoverbike replacement. It is also the fastest ship available.

; Bio-Trans : The Bio-trans is a flying <strike>hearse</strike> van designed primarily for transporting agents, aliens or equipment to and from combat sites. It is not designed for combat but can mount sufficient countermeasures to keep troops relatively safe from harm (in the form of shields - lots of them).

; Explorer : The Explorer is the first ship designed with combat in mind. It is a fast interdimensional variant of the Hawk Air Warrior with slightly less module space. Weapon hardpoints include one main cannon and two additional smaller weapon hardpoints. Although not comparable to the Annihilator, this ship can take on anything given sufficient numbers.

; Retaliator : The Retaliator is a minor step up over the Explorer where it can mount three main guns and has as much space as a Hawk Air Warrior for upgrade modules. It's basically a ship with three times the firepower of an Explorer.

; Annihilator : The Annihilator is the be-all-and-end-all of the interdimensional gunships. It mounts two main weapons and a grand hardpoint suitable for the Large Disrupter Beam cannon arrays found on alien capital ships. It contains enough upgrade module space to expand the ship to take on other roles such as a heavily armoured troop transporter if the need ever arises. Otherwise it's clearly designed as an all-out assault vehicle that's meant to be fitted with a huge array of large and small disrupter shields. A single Annihilator controled on manual is quite capable of easily leveling the entire city, although as amuseing as that may be, its not exactly what your being payed for.

The Lineage Plasma Cannon is a quite powerful yet compact weapon, it can fit on most vehicles, including the Hoverbike and the Phoenix Hovercraft, this weapon is fueled by Elerium and is probably the most cost-effective Elerium powered weapon in the game.

While a Warhawk equiped with three Lineage Cannons can prove suficently powerful to take down mid tier alien craft, its undisputable bigest weakness is its appalling acuracy. And with its impresive range it tends to start fireing long before it has a chance of hitting (the enemy at least). It will regularly suceed in doing ten times more damage to the city than the aliens if not handled carfully. If I recieved $1000 for every time the hospital has had to be rebuilt from the ground up, by the time I stoped useing the weapon I'd never need any funding again. The best way to avoid topling hospitals and mass shoping mall colapse is to save before every cityscape combat and try to position your forces to fire away from any tall or delicate structures. Also be sure to keep an eye on your elerium reserves, as it can use them up quite rapidly and empty guns are no fun.

Relationships in Mega Primus generally follow a very simple principal: The Enemy of my Enemy is my Friend.

This means that if you attack organisation A, which is disliked by organisation B, organisation B will be much friendlier towards you, and vice versa.

Trying to understand these relationships can be quite difficult at first (except for the pretty obvious ones like Megapol and the Aliens), but there are ways to gauge how companies relate to each other.

Reading the informational headlines that pop up on your information bar from time to time is a great way to see how certain companies relate to each other. Gangs in particular also employ direct air assaults on their enemies. Unfortunately, they tend to be overwhelmed by the sentinals.

A lot of these relationships are however one-way only. That is to say, if company A likes company B, this relationship is not mutually exclusive. Company B may feel indifferent or have a slight dislike for company A.

Case in point, every time an organisation gets fed up with X-Com and refuses to accept cash settlments because you're attacking their 'alien friends', the aliens will not necessarily feel the same way about the rebelling company. The company may continue to get upset whenever you take action against the aliens, but they will quickly change their tune if the aliens turn on them and start destroying their facilities.

Certain organisations are more important to stay friendly with or protect from alien infiltration than others. I'm sure it needn't be said, but do not bother paying out insane sums to keep the Cult of Sirus happy. It won't work. You obviously want to stay friendly with groups such as megapol (otherwise expect random shootings in the cityscape) and Marsec if you intend on doing any business with them. The government is where you get that insulting amount of funding from, and despite it not covering your troops wages, any amount of funds are very much needed. Other factions to make sure you stay in their good books include anyone else you want to trade with. Intersteler are very important to keep away from the aliens, since if you lose their suport you have no good means to transfer equipment between bases. (I once had the ridiculous situation of sending agents back and forth carying suplys.)

TODO
More information on Mega Primus relationships to come whenever.

May want to include a general map of the like/dislike chart for the very start of the game. It's imposible to map this out for later stages on account of the wildly unpredictable public relations that can happen during the game.
