== Tips ==&lt;br /&gt;
* Like most flankable units, they will ideally try to find reasonable cover whenever flanked. This can be taken advantage of if you want to force enemies to move.&lt;br /&gt;
* Sentries boast a higher detection radius than most trooper variants, so be wary of potential hiding spots such as dark corners to avoid being surprised.&lt;br /&gt;

* Like most flankable units, they will ideally try to find reasonable cover whenever flanked. This can be taken advantage of if you want to force enemies to move.&lt;br /&gt;
* Their detection radius are higher than most trooper variants so it is best to be wary of spots that may hide them such as dark corners in order to not get surprised yourself.&lt;br /&gt;
* The main threat of Advent Sentries is their ability to take a shot and then enter overwatch granting them great action economy very early and throughout the rest of the campaign. The best way to mitigate this ability is to have methods that remove overwatch which there are many of. * The precise effect of a Stun Lance strike is dependent on a stat check, comparing the Stun Lancer&#039;s Strength against their target&#039;s Will.&lt;br /&gt;
* Stun Lancers are very aggressive units and will always attempt to close in in order to attack. It&#039;s generally best to disable their Stun Lance via effects such as disorientation, or failing that, simply avoid it by being outside their movement range.&lt;br /&gt;

* Troopers are the lowest level of enemy units ADVENT can deploy, having generally lower aim and damage than their allies, so they are generally safe to deprioritize in favor of other targets--but do not forget about them.&lt;br /&gt;

== Tips ==&lt;br /&gt;
* Like most flankable units, they will ideally try to find reasonable cover whenever flanked. This can be taken advantage of if you want to force enemies to move.&lt;br /&gt;
* Unlike in the vanilla game, Sectoids are not required to use their abilities first before any other actions. They can and will shoot you if there is a very desirable target.&lt;br /&gt;
* Inflicting any negative mental effect on Sectoid&#039;s is a very powerful counter as it will cancel their reanimation or mind controls active.&lt;br /&gt;
* The Reaper&#039;s Throwing Knives do not gain Melee Vulnerability bonus damage.&lt;br /&gt;
* Despite the frightening possibility of losing a soldier, Mind Control is arguably the best result from a Mindspin, as a simple Flashbang (or other mental effect) will cancel the effect and waste the Sectoid&#039;s turn (presuming you have such tools!). Panic shuts down a soldier, but can be taken care of via tools such as [[Perk List (LWOTC)#Revival Protocol|Revival Protocol]] or killing the Sectoid. The seemingly innocuous effect of disorientation can in fact be the worst, as killing or disabling the Sectoid will not cancel it--without removal tools, the soldier has no choice but to grin and bear it.&lt;br /&gt;
